Gippsland Water Dragon

This is a Gippsland Water Dragon. These water dragons are aquatic lizards which spend much time perching in trees along creeks and rivers. If danger approaches they dive into the water and either remain underwater or swim away, they can remain underwater for over an hour.

Water Dragons are omnivorous, they eat both plant and animal matter, frogs, yabbies, other aquatic things together with fruits, berries and flowers. They can eat under water.
